The American Reef Coalition is an IRS designated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible and will go toward our efforts in marine conservation. You will receive a logo sticker, a thank you letter and receipt documenting your donation. Give us your email address and we'll keep you updated as to our work and important environmental issues.

For a donation of $40 or more, you get all of the above plus a stainless steel reusable water bottle. Help us keep plastic shopping bags and plastic water bottles out of the environment. All profits go to our efforts in marine conservation.

MEMBERSHIP
Your donations and membership will help sustain our efforts:
1) Marine debris eradication from 1,000 square miles of ocean and miles of shoreline.
Globally, marine debris is responsible for killing over 1,000 marine animals a day.
2) Day-use mooring installation and maintenance. Just one day-use mooring can save up to 2 acres of endangered coral reef from being ripped apart by anchors. We currently have 58 moorings to maintain, which combined, protect up to 116 acres of living coral. Maintenance costs average $750 per mooring annually.
3) Coral reef monitoring. We have dozens of reefs that we monitor for signs of degradation. This information is then reported to the Division of Aquatic Resources where research begins to find the cause and cure.
4) Invasive species control. Certain introduced fish species can individually consume up to 200 native species annually, which in-turn creates an imbalance in the ecosystem. By monitoring and controlling invasive species, we help provide balance to an ecosystem that has taken thousands of years to establish.
5) Coral transplant and reef enhancement. Corals that would otherwise not survive, are transplanted on barren areas of reef or artificial reef. Giving them a second chance at life and the opportunity to build future habitat for fish and invertebrates.
6) As an organization with membership, we can throw our collective weight behind important issues such as the successful gill-net ban. Become a member by donating and help us save the planet, one coral reef at a time.

DONATE YOUR BOAT...
When you donate your boat, the costs to keep and maintain your boat end immediately and you can write the donation off your taxes.
We are one of only a handful of qualified organizations where you can donate your boat and take the Full Market Survey value as your deduction. To do this, the boat must be in good working condition and one we can use in service.
We accept power boats, sailboats, yachts and jet skis. We have been accepting boat donations and providing donors with maximum tax benefits since 2002.
We are a nonprofit marine conservation organization with an IRS 501(c)(3) designation. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
Any boat that we can use in purpose will be put into service. If we can not utilize your boat in service, it will be sold and the profits from proceeds will go directly into our efforts in marine conservation.
